Unpaid invoices are among the most common disputes before the Investment and Trade Court — and among the most winnable when the paperwork is handled correctly from the start. We act from first notice through judgment and enforcement.
The claim is built on the record: the invoices, the delivery or completion documents, the account statement, and the correspondence. A formal legal notice often resolves the matter without proceedings, and where it does not, it strengthens the claim that follows. Before the Investment and Trade Court, a signed commercial document carries real evidentiary weight, and a debtor who never disputed the invoices when they were rendered faces an uphill argument disputing them in court. Alongside the principal, Qatari law allows compensation for the delay in payment where the delay caused loss. After judgment, we take enforcement through to actual collection — attachment and execution — which is where a recovery either becomes real or does not.
We have acted for a wholesale supplier before the Investment and Trade Court in recovering unpaid commercial invoices from a retail operator, with compensation for the delay, and we act in judgment enforcement, including for financial institutions.
